Editorial Standards
How we research, write, and review the material on this website — and the limits of what it is. This is a money-and-your-livelihood subject, so we set out plainly where our content is reliable and where it is not a substitute for your own advisers.
Thailand Stock Loans publishes explanatory content about share-backed financing secured by equity listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the Market for Alternative Investment (mai). Because these topics touch on people's finances, we hold our writing to a defined standard. This page describes that standard honestly. It documents what we actually do — not credentials, awards, or review processes we do not have. Last updated 1 July 2026.
Educational, not personalized advice
Everything we publish is general information intended to help shareholders and their advisers understand how stock loans, block trades, and the surrounding Thai market mechanics work. It is written for a professional and institutional audience and is not personalized legal, tax, investment, accounting, or regulatory advice, and it is not an offer or solicitation. No article, comparison, glossary entry, or FAQ on this site is calibrated to your specific holding or circumstances. Before acting, you should obtain advice from qualified Thai counsel and a tax or financial adviser of your own choosing. This standard is consistent with, and does not replace, our Disclosures and Terms of Use.
Where our regulatory statements come from
When we describe a rule, threshold, statute, or filing, the statement is drawn from named official sources rather than from opinion. For the Thai market, the primary authorities we rely on are:
- Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand (SEC Thailand) — the securities regulator, for disclosure and reporting rules such as substantial-shareholding reporting on Form 246-2 and tender-offer thresholds. sec.or.th
- The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) — for listing, trading, board, and big-lot/put-through reporting rules across the SET and mai markets. set.or.th
- Thailand Securities Depository (TSD) — the central depository, for how SET- and mai-listed securities are held and settled in book-entry form. set.or.th/en/about/setgroup/tsd
- Bank of Thailand (BoT) — for the foreign-exchange framework relevant to cross-border and baht-denominated transactions. bot.or.th
- The Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 (1992) and related Thai law and regulation — the principal statutory framework we reference.
Where the application of a rule to a particular structure is uncertain or fact-specific — for example, whether a pledge engages a reporting obligation — we say so, and we point the reader to their own Thai counsel rather than assert a conclusion. Regulatory frameworks change; a statement that was accurate when written may be superseded, and readers should confirm the current position with the regulator or their advisers.
How we treat figures
Any numbers on this site — loan-to-value ranges, tenors (typically 12–36 months), minimum transaction size (from THB 30 million), indicative timelines, and similar — are indicative and illustrative only. They describe how transactions are commonly structured; they are not quotes, commitments, or a rate card. An actual figure for any position is issued only after review of the specific ticker and holding, and is subject to credit assessment, documentation, and conditions. We review figures across the site for internal consistency, so that the same indicative ranges appear the same way on every page, and we avoid publishing precise statistics, deal counts, or performance claims that we cannot substantiate.
Our role, and who writes here
Thailand Stock Loans acts as an arranger and introducer of share-backed financing, working alongside licensed and appropriately authorised Thai counterparties, lenders, custodians, and legal counsel. We do not hold ourselves out as providing regulated investment advice, brokerage, or dealing services, and activities requiring a licence are conducted through, or together with, entities that hold the relevant licence or registration. Our content is written from that vantage point: practitioner explanation of how these transactions work, not advocacy of a particular course of action.
Articles are written by the firm's principals, who are named on each piece and profiled on the site:
- Krit Wattanawong — Founder & Managing Principal.
- Napat Sirisuk — Co-Founder & Principal.
We do not operate an external editorial board, and we do not claim third-party certification, awards, or independent professional review of our articles. Where a piece carries a byline, it reflects the author's practitioner view as at the date shown, informed by the official sources above. We would rather state that plainly than imply a review apparatus we do not have.
Corrections and updates
We keep a visible publication or update date on our pages and refresh material when rules or market practice change. If we correct something material, we update the relevant page and its date rather than silently editing it out of view. Our glossary, FAQ, and comparison pages are maintained alongside the articles so that terminology stays consistent across the site.
